Integrated Support in Action: A Family's Journey to Viral Suppression
In Meatu District, a young caregiver was raising two teenage siblings living with HIV who had stopped treatment after their mother died. A Community Case Worker put in place enhanced adherence counselling, transport support and nutrition guidance.
By April 2025 both siblings had achieved full viral suppression — one fell from 387,000 copies to undetectable. With business skills support, the caregiver also opened a retail shop and tailoring business, strengthening the household's economic stability.
